Transylvania, a storyland

In Mărișel a village near Beliș is the bust of Pelagia Rosu - the one who led the group of women in the battle of Mărișel in 1848. Nearby, you can visit the Village Museum, and Antonescu's Road will eventually take you to Iancului Cross and at Țâcla Gavrii, a rock from which you can admire the Răcătăului Gorge.

In these areas, you can choose easy routes for walks but with the right equipment and mood, you can venture anytime further in the mountainous areas.
